Math…

Jan 25, 2009 in Life

So I was thinking about something after the night I had. You hear all these people say that the perfect woman is one in a million. With only 6 billion people on the planet, and roughly half the population being women, that gives us only 3000 women in the entire world to choose from.
Scares the hell out of me. Only 7 women in the DFW area for me. And at least one is married already.
Just a thought.

So this is what we have…

Jan 21, 2009 in Life, Stuff, Work

I am in Dallas now. It is a pain in the ass though because I don’t have work. Backstory comes down to me moving down here for a company only to have them eliminate the position in a budget meeting. Good times.

So now, I get to do what I did in Utah. Search for jobs and watch movies. There is nothing else. It is pathetic too. I was pretty stoked to get down here and get moving with Verizon. Such is life I guess.

Ok. Time to go. I really don’t have a whole lot to say right now. At least you know what is going on right now though. As if I actually have any readers.

Starting to get crazy…

Oct 10, 2008 in Future, Government, Life

For the first time this year, people are starting to think war. I have now seen several reports from iReport.com claiming that they are thinking this election is going to end up in war. The thing that they don’t seem to understand is that the election itself has nothing to do with it. Well, it gets people all riled up, but doesn’t really cause the problems.

Where do the problems start then? It begins with people in our government not doing their jobs. When the Congress has a 13% approval rating, they ALL need to go.

The second thing that will start it is the Office of the Executive. The Office of the President for those of you that don’t know your government. We have had a series of presidents that refuse to stick to their guns. Especially on the Republican side. Instead of having at least 50% of the country feeling somewhat good about them, they continue to change sides. Moderate to Liberal to Conservative to whatever the hell they call themselves now. To be frank, it seems that the more our great country ages, the more our presidents move to the left.

The third thing to worry about is the Judicial. When the founding fathers created this government, they built it to avoid any single part of the government from having absolute control. The Judicial has that control though. They can now create law by interpreting it in a way that changes the meaning. Sadly, there are very few of them out there that have any sort of honor.

So what is it that starts the war then? We have established that our government is not only flawed at the personal level, but is not representative of the people. The start of the war will not be a giant flareup such as a mass secession like what occurred during the first civil war. It will begin with the government attacking the people. Not in large ways, but in small ways. Things like the polygamist camp in Texas this summer. Things like Ruby Ridge.

When these things start to happen several times a year, or even several times a month, you will start to see the uprising occur. Even those things will not be enough to spark this off though.

The real thing that will do it will be hunger. Just watch and wait. When the food stops (soon), the government attacks the people (infrequent, but happening), and we are no longer represented in Washington (now), the war will start. We are getting closer.

Make sure you get your supplies ready. Food, water, seeds for planting, extra shoes and boots, clothing, guns and ammo for hunting and protection. Make sure you are prepared. I would start today before your money isn’t worth a damn thing. You should probably expect that sometime later this year or early next year if the financial markets don’t start moving in the right direction. Hyper-inflation is bad and on its way.

Just got some more supplies.

Oct 09, 2008 in Future, Life, Stuff, Work

With what little cash I had left, I went and bought some seeds. Various things like corn, watermellon, tomatos and some other things. I have told people to do it lately as a hedge against food shortages that will begin to occur this winter and spring. I suggest you all do it too. Having that bit of extra food available is going to be something that we will all need soon enough. Even if there are no shortages, you spent 2 bucks on a packet of seeds and got hundreds of dollars of food from it. Do the math.

Beyond that, I got more water as well. I figured I could survive between what I have and using the springs in the area. My next purchase is going to be more ammo. I just get this gut feeling that we may not come out of this with our lives quite the same as they are now.

In other news, nobody is hiring because of this crap. Such a shame.

w00t!

Oct 03, 2008 in Life, Stuff, Work

Yeah, so I had a phone interview with Rackspace this morning. It went quite well. I am rather stoked to get back to work. Not excited about having to move down to Austin to do it, but whatever I guess. I have to live. And I can’t find shit here.

As for everything else, I am doing a BBQ tonight. It is smaller, but should be a good time. Have about 6 or 8 people coming. Good times.

I should have some pictures posted of it tomorrow or the next day at the Alienspeed.com Gallery.

That is really all that is going on. Time to have a shower right now. I stink from running, but wanted to update here before I poofed for the night.

Oh yeah, and I do have to say that I am starting to enjoy Twitter. It is starting to get fun for me for some reason. I think it is that thought that someone may actually give a shit about what I may or may not be doing. Kindof nice when you are as cut off as I am from things right now.

Figuring out what to do…

Sep 29, 2008 in Business, Future, Life

There are so many questions in life. Sometimes you have to decide whether to move. Sometimes you have to decide if you should quit your job. Sometimes you have to decide where to throw your energy and work.

As those of you know that care to read this blog, I have had a hard time with jobs lately. In fact, I can’t find one. I had a great setup for a while there, but lost my mind and lost my setup. Stupidity.

Now I am in a position where I get to find a way to get back to work. And to be quite frank, that is VERY hard in this state. It seems like I am fucking worthless here to companies. The beauty is that they were willing to offer me 90 a year 8 months ago, but suddenly they can’t afford it or just won’t hire me. Even for lower paying positions. It is odd.

So yeah, just noticed that the House rejected the bailout bill. Good. It is just going to get harder now, but at least when it gets better, it will REALLY be better. Not just an artificial bubble.

So that does it. I am moving back to Texas. S13 will have to wait until I am able to pay my bills again.

Isn’t life something else?

Sep 03, 2008 in Life, News, Work

Not sure if all of you remember, but I was working to get my record clean. I thought I was good to go, but alas, I received a letter recently telling me that I was denied. I am officially ticked off still. Regardless, I have been turned down for something near 20 jobs because of something that happened 8 years ago. Does anyone else smell a slight case of dickishness coming from all these companies and people.

Bah, just an update. I update The Story as well. Go ahead and check it out. There is at least another page or three there to work with.

Well, I am ok with this.

Jul 07, 2008 in Life, Past

I have had a lot of health problems lately. The pain in my leg is coming back. It isn’t all that fun. I did something today that I have not done in a while though. We call them narcotics. I am quite happy with them. In fact, I am high as a kite.

Back to the pain though. I used to have issues with pain in the join and some other areas. Now, since my hip replacement, the join pain is gone. Everything else though has decided to show up. I now have severe and rather debilitating pain from the nerves all the way down my left leg. Something that many people don’t understand is that nerve pain can be worse than having a limb removed. You combine that with muscle death around the scars I have, and my left leg is a nightmare of epic perportions.

Over the years I have become rather good at hiding the pain. In fact, most people only see a guy with a limp. They don’t see a guy that nearly passes out from pain with every step.

I don’t really know why I went into this, but there you go. I guess the point of all of this is that shit happens.

More BS!

Jun 24, 2008 in Life, Past, Work

So I went down for an interview today. It was with this company that I would love to work for, but have yet to interview with. Finally I get an interview with them and my stupid past comes into play. They can’t hire me until I finish this stupid expungement. I am going to fucking kill whoever is in charge of this shit at the state level. How fucking long does it take?! I have been waiting for damn near 6 weeks now with nothing. Here is a clue for whoever is in charge of expungements for the state of Utah. GET A CLUE! Fucking morons.

This shit has bitten me more times in the last year than any other shitty little mistake I have made before. And this is smaller than most mistakes I have made. But because the country prosecutor needed to make some money for the county, I get fucked. I didn’t do a fucking thing then, and now I am paying for not noticing someone else stealing shit. Good times. This is what I get for not being fucking perfect in my friend selection in this police state shit that we are living in now.

Damnit… I am fucking pissed.

Lord… Job hunting sucks…

Jun 12, 2008 in Future, Life, Stuff, Work

I have been busting my ass for a couple weeks now looking for a job. No luck so far. It seems that I have been blacklisted or something. I am not even getting emails now. And I have applied for damn near 100 jobs with only two solid leads. It is a shame. I should have just dealt with the job until I couldn’t anymore, but such is life.

If anyone out there has something, I would LOVE to hear about it. I am going to be seriously in trouble by next Friday if I don’t have something lined up. I am good with contracts or full time. I am an administrator, so if you need computer work done, and it pays something above $26 an hour, let me know.

There is really no other news. I have been job hunting and studying for my LPIC 1. Studying is SO freaking tiring though.

Oh yeah, I started running again. I go and do stairs up at our local football stadium. Each flight has 33 steps. So far, I am up to doing 24 flights. It isn’t much, but I am busting my ass trying to make it happen. I will keep you updated and such. I am hoping to be up to 42 flights by the end of the month. We will see.
